Just three months after being released from a prison in Sweden, Rapper ASAP Rocky has revealed that he may be returning to Stockholm for a performance in a concert.
ASAP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers was convicted of assault in the Swedish capital of Stockholm during a street brawl on June, 30. Although the rapper pleaded self-defense, saying he tried to avoid a confrontation with two men who were following his entourage. He alongside his two bodyguards were given ‘conditional sentences’, which meant that they won’t serve prison terms and will only be convicted in the future if they commit a similar offense in the country.
The concert which would take place on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at the Ericsson Globe arena would see ASAP Rocky and several other artists perform at the event this is according to Live Nation Sweden. An excerpt from the announcement by a representative of Live Nation Sweden read: After tremendous support from the Swedish fans, he returns to Stockholm for a long-awaited gig for all his supporters,” this was reported by Swedish news outlet, The Local.
Part of the proceeds generated from the event will go the Swedish Network of Refugee Support Group (FARR), a non-profit that is working to strengthen the right if asylum seekers.
